Roughly 58 million pounds of corn dogs and other sausage-on-a-stick products have been recalled in the United States.
The Agriculture Department’s Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a notice alerting consumers to the recall of select "State Fair Corn Dogs on a Stick" and “Jimmy Dean Pancakes & Sausage on a Stick” products. The products may have pieces of wood embedded in the batter.
The products are from Texas-based Hillshire Brands, a subsidiary of Tyson Foods.
