$4M contract up for vote at MSU board meeting

Posted online

The Missouri State University Board of Governors on Friday is slated to vote on a $4.1 million contract.

Kansas City-based BNIM is slated to serve as a design consultant for upgrades to MSU academic building Temple Hall, according to the board's agenda.

The two-phase project calls on a 65,000- to 90,000-square-foot addition that would house research laboratories, as well as a 126,000-square-foot renovation of existing space.

MSU staff is recommending BNIM because of its experience with the university. The company's website indicates it previously worked on design services for the university's dining centers.

The design of the Temple Hall project is slated to start this year and continue through next year, according to the board's agenda. Construction on the project is slated to start in fall 2022.
