$45B cement merger begins to collapse

A deal to create the world's biggest cement maker has started to crumble.

Swiss concrete giant Holcim has pulled its proposal to buy France's Lafarge $45 billion. The deal was made last April.

According to CNNMoney, Holcim  wants to renegotiate terms, including a one-to-one share exchange ratio and governance issues. Lafarge officials said they might move on the share ratio but are refusing to budge on other parts of the agreement.
