4.2B people are still offline

According to the United Nations Broadband Commission, there are currently 4.2 billion people, or 57 percent of the world's population, who are still living day to day without online activity.

CNNMoney reports the overall growth in Internet use is expected to decline from 8.6 percent in 2014 to 8.1 percent in 2015. An internet user penetration report for 2015 estimates that 60 percent of the world population should be online by 2021.

Many of the world's languages still aren't represented on the Internet, according to the report.
