Then: Assistant principal, Parkview High School
Now: Executive dean of career, technical and community development, Ozarks Technical Community College
Matt Hudson has devoted his career to education, though about a decade ago he made the transition from secondary education leader to college dean. It turned out to be perfect timing.
“When I came here in 2015, there was a renaissance beginning that I happened to be at the very ground of for a renewal of career and technical education,” Hudson, 47, says of his move to Ozarks Tech. “OTC has been aggressive in their expansion and investment in program offerings, and I’ve been right alongside those decisions and the work.”
He was promoted to his current role in 2018 and has since helped the college launch aviation, airframe and powerplant, and robotics programs.
Since being a part of the 40 Under 40 class, he started a family. He married Pamela, a teacher at Glendale, and the couple has two girls, Reese, 11, and Quinn, 8.
