A development group is planning a $350 million rework of the former Schlitterbahn water park site in Kansas City, Kansas.
Kansas City-based Homefield LLC is working on a mixed-use development with a multisport indoor training facility, youth baseball complex and other amenities.
Schlitterbahn never recovered from a 2016 incident that resulted in a boy's death on the Verruckt slide. Litigation followed, and the park has been closed since 2018.
