$34M expansion of trail system near STL in the works

Madison County Transit, which operates a system of bicycle trails, bridges and tunnels near St. Louis in Illinois, is planning a $34 million expansion.

The organization intends to add 20 miles, seven bridges and two tunnels over the next five years.

“We are trying to build one of the most bikeable places in the Midwest," said SJ Morrison, the agency’s managing director.
