30-year Treasury yield falls below 2% for 1st time

For the first time on record, the U.S. Treasury bond yield fell below 2%.

According to the Financial Times, traders have been dumping riskier assets, such as stocks and oil, in favor of bonds and other assets.

The U.S. Treasury bond yield decreased to as low as 1.96%.
