30-year mortgage rates approach all-time lows

Mortgage rates tumbled in the past two weeks, approaching all-time lows.

The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 3.41 percent this week, which is down from 3.48 percent a week ago and 4.04 percent a year ago, according to Freddie Mac.

The 30-year rate is now within 10 basis points of the 3.31 percent record low set in November 2012.
