Posted online

United Way of the Ozarks has reached its $3.67 million goal for its 2007 fundraising campaign, officials announced during the group’s Nov. 8 Victory Breakfast, where the winners of its Day of Caring 2007 photo contest also were announced.

Top right, the first place Best in Show award went to Beth Frazier’s photo of Paula Freeman, left, of Greene County Resource Management and Shannon Smith of Greene County General Services having fun during a building project.

Bottom right, photographer Teresa Young took the first place People’s Choice award by capturing a young boy getting a haircut at the Salvation Army from a volunteer stylist from The System – A Paul Mitchell Partner School.

Nearly 1,400 volunteers from 60 local businesses participated in this year’s Day of Caring on Aug. 17. [[In-content Ad]]
