3-D printers soon to serve edible food

Printing your favorite recipe is taking on a whole new dimension.
 
Several 3-D printer companies are creating prototypes that can print edible food, according to Bloomberg Businessweek. Chocolate-maker Hershey is teaming with 3D Systems to develop a printer for manufacturers. NASA is working with Systems & Materials Research on a pizza printer. And soon, home foodies will be able to print all kinds of food, including ravioli, cookies and sweets, hash browns, even quiche and fish and chips.
 
All you have to do is supply all of the ingredients. And then cook the food after it’s been printed. And then clean the kitchen, and, presumably, all of those crevices in the printer.
