Two former Twitter employees and a third person were charged for spying on users critical of the Saudi royal family.
Those charged, two Saudis and one U.S. citizen, allegedly conspired to uncover ownership details of such accounts.
A U.S. Justice Department court filing indicates the three people were guided by an unnamed Saudi official.
