2.3M vehicles recalled in Australia over airbags

Australia is ordering automakers to recall 2.3 million vehicles in the country over potentially deadly airbags.

The vehicles have airbags made by Takata. The company's airbags have led to tens of millions of vehicle recalls.

A defect in the airbags can cause them to explode and blast shrapnel into drivers and passengers.
