After immigrating to the United States from Nigeria and experiencing the challenge of missing out on employment opportunities because of her background, Racheal Dami Odunewu founded Purpose Connect Inc. to help others overcome barriers like these.
Odunewu, 37, focuses on filling talent gaps by connecting skilled international students who may otherwise be overlooked by U.S. employers. Purpose Connect, an immigration-aware hiring platform, simplifies the process.
“One of my most meaningful contributions has been helping organizations and professionals embrace cultural diversity, not just in theory, but in practice,” Odunewu says.
Additionally, Odunewu founded Divine Missions Health Center, a nonprofit serving communities lacking adequate health care access throughout the world.
