When Christian Lewis, 39, stepped into the role of regional community executive for Simmons Bank in 2020, he was the youngest person across six states to hold that title. With a career spanning a decade at Simmons, Lewis now holds $1 million in credit authority and oversees the southwest Missouri market’s $400 million loan and $800 million deposit portfolios.
Lewis has additionally served in numerous civic roles throughout his career, including as a current board member for the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame and a previous member of the Mayor’s Initiative on Equity and Equality, Ozarks Regional YMCA and Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
“I understand that skills and wisdom come with experience, and there is an extreme drive on my end to be the best I can in this diverse region,” he says.
A trio of brothers own Southway Storage LLC, which opened Oct. 7 and has 289 units to serve customers in Ozark, Nixa, Springfield and elsewhere in southwest Missouri.
