Chelsey Dollarhide, audit manager at The Whitlock Co., says her career path has been unconventional, as she started in public accounting in 2012, then moved into nonprofit executive leadership for five years at Drury University before returning to public practice in 2021.
“Each transition deepened my understanding of how financial leadership strengthens organizations and, ultimately, communities,” she says.
At Whitlock, Dollarhide, 37, drives impact internally and externally – elevating the firm by taking ownership of its quality management system, while reimagining its nonprofit audits as educational partnerships rather than compliance burdens.
A member of Leadership Springfield Class 46, Dollarhide remains involved with the organization as an adviser and mentor, while she also serves as vice chair for the board of directors at Isabel’s House.
