YOUR BUSINESS AUTHORITY
Springfield, MO
Thanks to the many hats he has worn, Matthew Henderson’s boutique marketing agency, Henderson Media LLC, is able to effectively serve a wide spectrum of industries.
Before starting the company in 2019, Henderson spent time as a graphic designer, journalist and full-stack developer. This untraditional triad provided a multitude of experiences that benefit his clients today.
Take his journalism experience, which means he is well-versed in asking questions – a skill Henderson uses to make sure he fully understands his clients while working with them. Nick Calvert, president of Springfield Computer Geeks LLC, praises Henderson’s “collaborative approach” as lead web designer for the company.
“From our first consultation, Matthew demonstrated a clear understanding of our industry,” Calvert says.
Spending time interviewing thousands of leaders from all different industries has turned Henderson into an invaluable resource for clients seeking business advice, too.
“Clients frequently turn to me with questions about operations, product fulfillment, customer service and scaling strategies,” Henderson says. “In that sense, I serve not only as a marketing professional but as a sounding board and informal mentor.”
Henderson’s client Will Worsham, attorney and owner at Worsham Law Firm LLC, says Henderson is “generous with his insight.”
That generosity is one reason Henderson makes efforts to reach rural communities with his expertise. For example, Worsham says Henderson has given presentations about various marketing concepts at the Rogersville Area Chamber of Commerce which were “not only well-attended but also highly praised.”
Chris Cazzell, co-owner of Red Oak Woodworking LLC, says Henderson drove all the way to his cabinet shop in Mansfield while working on designing a website for the business.
“Most people won’t do that,” Cazzell says.
Nearly 20% of Henderson’s clientele consists of nonprofits, for which he often offers discounted or free services. This allows the organizations to redirect the money they save on marketing to those they serve.
Another quality that sets Henderson apart is his commitment to originality amidst the rise of artificial intelligence. While AI can be useful as a tool for refinement of later drafts, Henderson says distrust in the marketing industry is growing as the outsourcing of content creation to AI generators – without transparency – becomes more common.
“I am dedicated to creating original content that maintains a human touch and delivers great SEO performance,” Henderson says.
