When a situation becomes complex, Krystal Creach is the one clients and colleagues call. She is one of only four Forvis Mazars LLP partners nationwide who advises tax-exempt organizations. Additionally, she leads the firm’s Private Client team, which serves high-net-worth clients.
“To be a trusted adviser means combining deep expertise, guidance and a commitment to staying ahead of industry trends,” she says, “so clients can navigate complexities with confidence and achieve long-term success.”
Creach graduated from Drury University with a bachelor’s of accounting in 2007 and was hired that same year at Forvis Mazars, formerly known as BKD LLP. She achieved partnership in 2023.
Brian Todd, also a Forvis Mazars partner, describes Creach as an exemplary problem-solver whose ability to navigate complex situations provides an invaluable skillset. She has additionally coached team members and provided numerous in-house training sessions.
“Krystal’s deep technical expertise is valued by clients and colleagues alike,” Todd says, “and her practical, innovative approach and genuine interest in helping others shines through in all her interactions.”
Creach played a key role in launching the Private Client division’s Physician Wealth Management Services. The program’s services include financial wellness education alongside wealth management catering to the particular lives of physician clients. For her tax-exempt clients, she proactively stays on the pulse of policy changes that have critical impacts on their operation.
“There are extensive requirements for tax-exempt organizations beyond tax forms that require a trusted adviser that has deep expertise in this unique area,” she says. “There are so many changes in tax law now due to the political environment, and this requires a focus on monitoring, interpreting and implementing tax law changes to provide the best strategies for clients.”
Outside of her work at Forvis Mazars, Creach is a board member on the Greene County Estate Planning Council; finance chair of Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland Inc.; sustainer for The Junior League of Springfield, Missouri, Inc.; and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
