2024 Office Envy: Care To Learn

Greener Pastures

A nearly 70-year-old building that most recently housed a consignment shop received a new lease on life earlier this year as the headquarters of Care to Learn.

It was a short move in distance for the nonprofit to 1047 S. Glenstone Ave., after previously operating at 1740 S. Glenstone Ave., Ste. R, in Glenstone Square. However, officials say the July move to the 5,164-square-foot facility more than doubled space for the organization that partners with nearly 50 school districts in Missouri to aid students with health, hunger and hygiene needs.

Green is a prevalent color seen throughout the office, be it on furniture, walls, branded merchandise or even clothing frequently worn by the eight-employee staff. Director of Marketing Andrea Harp says the nonprofit’s signature color is vibrant and symbolizes growth – something that aligns with the nonprofit’s mission to help children succeed in school by learning and growing.

Aside from a board room and several meeting areas, the office includes dedicated space for stocking and distributing myriad products for Care to Learn closets in the Springfield Public Schools district.
