YOUR BUSINESS AUTHORITY
Springfield, MO
Brad Hashagen, chief financial officer of Hudson Hawk Barber & Shop, believes that while a title or position may give one authority, becoming a true leader is earned.
In his role, Hashagen, 33, created the company’s first formal organizational chart across its 11 barbershops, helping to refine management efforts and giving the operations directors tools to analyze their decisions with a holistic view.
Moving forward, he hopes to bring more professionalism to the barbering industry and help people realize that being a barber with technical skills can be a lifelong career.
Outside of the office, Hashagen is vice president of the board for Ozark Greenways Inc., where he’s also utilized his accounting skills to help with the group’s annual budget.
Proudest moment? My son Elijah drawing a picture and writing that dad is his hero. This was unsolicited and meant the world to me.
What about your job would shock people? Even though I am still a CPA, I now do very little accounting work.
Favorite hobby or creative outlet? Hiking and lifting. Hiking has taken me to some of my favorite places in the world!
Favorite local order? Bone-in filet from Flame; it’s amazing.
