Air Services/All Service has 27 work trucks on the road, working every day of the week. “We are a true 24/7 company. Day or night, weekend or holiday, if you call our company with an emergency you will talk to a customer service representative based locally,” says Rich Callahan. The company created three teams to vary work schedules so each member can work a 40-hour workweek year-round.
Callahan and company host field trips for high school students. “We want both students, as well as staff, to know that for those who don’t necessarily see a four-year or trade school in their post-high school lives, that there are opportunities for excellence in a career,” he says. The team funds scholarships at Ozarks Technical Community College and has raised $20,000 for Toys for Tots.
The companies’ focus on service extends to both customers and leadership. Callahan says the management team is not just called to be a “boss” but rather “servant leaders.” And in hiring, it’s not just skilled tradesmen who get the jobs. The team focuses on bringing on new employees who are focused on excellence in customer service.
The HVAC and plumbing company offers a VIP membership and boasts close to 3,000 members. The program includes three annual home visits to provide a checkup on plumbing and drains and two HVAC checkups a year. Callahan says preventative care leads to lower utility bills, minimized repair costs and extended equipment life.
