OneSource Insurance Group LLC

Tragedy is unique, indiscriminate and expensive. So, when a client comes to Craig Henley needing insurance coverage, he treats them as more than algorithms and numbers. As vice president of sales at OneSource Insurance Group LLC, he works to customize plans that meet individual needs.

“I am trusted to evaluate my clients and advise on the appropriate coverage for their specific and unique needs,” Henley says.

After graduating from University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Henley worked as recruitment supervisor, sales manager and operations manager for newspaper publisher Gannett Co. Inc. in Indianapolis. In 2010, he moved back to Springfield as a financial representative for Northwestern Mutual and later an insurance agent with Baron Financial Group. In 2015, Henley landed at OneSource where he says he strives to treat clients with the respect he’d want for his family.

“Being a trusted adviser is more than just selling the right coverage; it’s committing yourself to a lifetime of service and relationship development,” he says.

One client who was building a secondary home in southwest Missouri discovered their homeowner coverage did not corroborate with the local fire department’s insurance services office rating. Henley contacted the city council and fire chief to amend the rating for the property.

“He verified it was indeed a lower ISO rating than what the provider was rating it,” Henley says. “He wrote a letter to me indicating the correct ISO rating and ultimately helped the client save several thousand dollars in premium.”

Client Sarah Watson, business development officer at Southern Bank, says he is a person of integrity willing to help anyone in need – client or not.

“He truly inspires those around him to do better,” Watson says. “He is always there to help an individual make sure they have the coverage needed.”

Henley is a member of National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, where he is currently enrolled in the Leadership in Life Institute. He is also a “grand knight” with the Knights of Columbus and board member for Man Up and Go where he has taken international mission trips and personally raised $10,000 for the organization. In 2015, Henley founded the business group Sprout, which volunteers, hosts speakers and holds meetings for business networking and collaboration.

“We have interactive conversations on how their stories impact us and how we can implement similar strategies into our own lives,” he says. “It has been an incredibly rewarding group and one I am very proud of.”
