2016 40 Under 40 Yearbook: Jennifer Growcock, 36

Then: Attorney, Polsinelli Shughart PC
Now: Shareholder, Polsinelli PC

Jennifer Growcock has made a life of going far while staying close to home.

In 2011, the 40 Under 40 honoree was a recent addition to the Springfield office of Polsinelli Shughart PC.

Five years and one company name change later, the attorney now is a shareholder and operates Polsinelli’s local presence mostly from home, still making a few trips a month to its Kansas City headquarters and serving on the Women’s Initiatives Committee.  When Polsinelli closed its Springfield office in 2015, Growcock had her pick of offices to join in other cities but chose to remain in the Ozarks.

“We have offices in very cool places, but my family has lived in Christian County for 12 years and that’s where we want to be,” Growcock says.

In June 2015, she and husband Matt, an attorney with Lowther Johnson Attorneys at Law LLC, welcomed the birth of their third child, Owen. With children Evan and Olivia now in second grade and kindergarten, respectively, Growcock stays busy. She is a member of the Kingswood Preschool board and the Parent Teacher Association at Ozark West Elementary, where she will serve as board treasurer this year.

If that’s not enough responsibility, she’s also one of three Republican candidates running for the circuit judge seat in the 38th Judicial Court encompassing Christian County.

“I will have a busy next five months,” Growcock says.
