Posted online
Shanda Trautman believes her life’s calling is to motivate, lead and inspire others. It’s a practical outlook for the former director of accounts at Revel Advertising while she tackles the creation of Old Missouri Bank’s marketing department as its director of marketing and business development. With the anticipation of company growth in 2016 through a rebrand and acquisitions, she is working to identify and deploy the opportunities that will help Old Missouri Bank increase the growth of clients’ business. Trautman works to plug young professionals into the community through serving on leadership and career panels, as well as business fraternities at Missouri State University and Drury University, and as a member of The Network.

What was your first job?
Beginning my junior year of high school, I was a babysitter during the off-season for my high school volleyball coach. She has three children, so it kept me busy.

What is your theme song? “Beautiful Day,” by U2.

What are you doing to make the Ozarks better?
I am passionate about retaining young professionals and engaging people – anytime I have an opportunity to “sell” our city, I’m all over it.

What historical figure do you identify with most?
Coco Chanel. She always knew what she wanted and went for it.

What app gets you through the day? Up by Jawbone – it’s my activity tracker. I like to know I’m making progress on my fitness goals all day, every day.
