2015 marks record year for FBI background checks

2015 was a record year for background checks for guns, according to CNNMoney.

The FBI reported yesterday there were 23.1 million background checks last year. That beats the previous record of 21.1 million set in 2013.

FBI background checks are conducted for all gun sales that go through a federally licensed dealer. That's how the majority of guns are sold.
