Annual Events:
The NAMI Walks, Miles for Minds, is our largest fundraiser and mental health awareness campaign nationwide, held in May. The Suicide Prevention 5k is a night run/walk to help raise awareness to the tragedy of suicide in our community and is held in August. Smaller events are developed throughout the year to raise awareness and support community members coping with mental health problems. We are a proud charity of the Bass Pro Outdoor Fitness Festival and Price Cutter Golf Championship.

Testimonial:
“For over thirty years, NAMI has been our community’s advocate on mental illness, providing support, advocacy, education and hope for individuals and families. The need for behavioral health programs and services has dramatically increased recently and NAMI addresses critical “Red Flag” issues such as access to appropriate care, treatment, housing and employment opportunities. NAMI champions the elimination of the stigma and discrimination and is truly “The Area’s Voice on Mental Illness”.

“The NAMI Family Education Program provided me the baseline education I needed to help deal with my brother’s newly diagnosed schizophrenia. Without this program, NAMI’s ongoing support and education, our family would be totally lost. NAMI “s Family Education Program was truly a godsend.”
