Mission: As the Sisters of Mercy before us, we bring to life the healing ministry of Jesus through our compassionate care and exceptional service.  The mission statement of Mercy is an inspiring reminder of our calling. It also unites and directs activities across our entire health and human service ministry.

Service Area:
Mercy Springfield serves a 35 county area, which includes the following: Barry, Barton, Baxter, Boone, Camden, Carroll, Cedar, Chrisitan, Crawford, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Howell, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, Marion, Newton, Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Polk, Pulaski, Shannon, St. Clair, Stone, Taney, Texas, Vernon, Webster, and Wright.

Funding:
Mercy Health Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization.  We rely on gifts of support from individuals, caring corporations, and foundations to help Mercy meet the health care needs of Springfield and its surrounding communities.

A gift to our Advancing Care Together campaign supports increased specialty care, lifesaving, life-changing medical equipment, advanced telemedicine capabilities, and capital improvements.  Areas of focus: Mercy Children's Hospital and Mercy's Heart and Vascular Hospital.

Annual Events:
Launched in 1979, the Mercy Sunshine Run includes three events: 10K, 5K, and 1-Mile walk/run.  Proceeds benefit the Mercy Burn Unit, Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, Springfield Public Schools, Springfield Catholic Schools, and Mercy scholarship programs at the School of Nursing, Clinic and Hospital Laboratory Sciences, and Medical Explorers.  Event title and race sponsorships are available as well as individual registrations. The Mercy Pro-Am, part of the Price Cutter Charity Golf Championship, benefits Mercy Children's Hospital.  Event, team, and hole sponsorships are available.  Mercy’s Vision of Excellence Series - First to Know is intended to educate area leaders about medical developments and trends impacting communities we serve.

Philanthropy is as integral to Mercy's fabric as our highly skilled health care providers and cutting-edge technology.  We reinvest our earnings in the communities we serve, focusing our services on the entire spectrum of health care.  We have a long-standing commitment to partner with you.

How People and Businesses Can Help:
Sunshine Run volunteers secure race routes, assist with registration and event setup and tear down.  Mercy Pro-Am volunteers enjoy a great day on the beautiful Hickory Hills fairways.  We also have campaign committees which help us lead major fundraising efforts such as the Advancing Care Together Campaign.

Testimonial:
"Mercy Health Foundation endeavors to extend the mission to those who are especially in need of healing, preventative care, and ending generational cycles of poor health." Bob Hammerschmidt, Regional President of Commerce Bank.
