Mission: Developmental Center of the Ozarks makes a positive difference in the community by providing services which enable individuals who have developmental disabilities to reach and maintain their optimal level of development.

Funding:
DCO receives funding through state contracts, SB40 Boards, and community contributions.

12 Month Goals:
DCO proposed a balanced budget to its board for the year. Our goal is to meet those budget guidelines without compromising services to our community. No one who qualifies for help will be denied service - regardless of his/her ability to pay or the agency's budget. DCO is also raising funds for campus improvements and renovations that are essential to our ability to meet the growing needs of the community.

DCO White Party, DCO Beach Bash, DCO Wine Walk, Turkey Trot, Gift Wrap Booth

How People and Businesses Can Help:
Donate to annual and/or capital campaigns, serve on a fundraising event committee, volunteer, donate in-kind goods. (Call 417-829-0896 for current needs prior to making a donation of this kind.) Call 417-831-1545 about opportunities to employ someone who has developmental disabilities, explore employment for a work crew, or learn how to become a testing site for job placement development.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Child Care Volunteers (especially needed during lunch time and for designated field trip days); Share Your Skill (reverse field trip opportunities for adults who have disabilities); serve on a fundraising event committee; wrap gifts at the Gift Wrap Booth (Call 417-829-0890 for schedule needs.)
