Mission: It is the mission of Clarity Recovery & Wellness (formerly Sigma House) to provide quality substance abuse and addiction treatment services to all individuals who come to us in need of assistance and who desire recovery.

Service area: Clarity’s service area (formerly Sigma House) encompasses 11 counties in southwest Missouri: Greene, Christian, Taney, Stone, Barry, Lawrence, Dade, Polk, Dallas, Webster and Douglas. It also serves private-pay clients from northwest Arkansas.

Funding: Sources for Clarity’s $3.1 million budget include federal, state and local government contracts, grants and donations, and self-paying clients.

12-Month Goals: Clarity will build financial strength in the coming year by attracting and serving insured clients. It also is working to boost productivity of the grants program.

Clarity is building on its brand by increasing its visibility within the community. It is working to increase public awareness and community education on addiction by presenting information to groups. It is establishing a stronger identity with news and advertising media. The web presence is being redesigned and enhanced, and social media strategies are being tested.

This year, Clarity will convert to electronic health records and upgrade its information technologies.

Annual events: Open houses are held each fall at the residential facilities in Springfield and Branson.

How people and businesses can help: Clarity always welcomes donations of money and goods. Ten dollars a day for a year will pay for one individual’s treatment program. Ten dollars a day for a year will pay for food for clients at either the Park Avenue or Branson location for one month. Items that make welcome donations are magazines, art supplies, snack foods and toiletries.

Volunteer opportunities: Volunteers are always welcomed. Clerical tasks, gardening, painting and research assistance are some of the areas served by volunteers. Volunteers are invited to take over the kitchen to prepare a meal with staff supervision, or to teach a recreational class.

Testimonials: I can only say thank you. Words can’t express how much this meant to me and how much happier I am in my own skin. I dreaded coming in here and it turned out to be a lifesaver, not to mention how wonderful it has been meeting all fellow participants and an amazing counselor. I simply thank you from the bottom of my heart. - Client A

I really liked all the counselors. You may be given one counselor but they are all very willing to help if you need any kind of help. The small classes make it better because it is on a more personal level. All the employees at Nixa are very good people, very friendly, very helpful, and willing to help and want to see people better their life. They don’t act like they are better than the clients, they feel they learn from us just like we learn from them. They make you feel like you do mean something to somebody. Thank you all very much. – Client B
