What innovative ways have you developed to reward employees?
“We offer rewards and recognition programs for outstanding performance. The Champions of Chase recognition program recognizes and celebrates our colleagues in operations who go above and beyond to do the right thing and who consistently deliver a great customer or employee experience. We have a local anniversary recognition wall including one or more years of service and global service recognition awards at the 10-year mark and every five years after. The company has an employee appreciation week with activities, gifts, food and casual dress; employee referral bonus of $500; and casual and themed dress days.”

What is the most celebrated perk among your staff?
“Most celebrated are paid time away for vacation, personal, illness and holidays; affordable health care; the ability to earn medical reimbursement money through activities focused on employee health and wellness; and an on-site health center with a full-time registered nurse.”

Work vs. life – how does your company help employees strike a balance between the two?
“Through paid-time away for vacation, personal, illness and holidays; employee assistance program; opportunities for shift bid; and tuition reimbursement focusing on continuing education.”

How does your company support employees’ desires to give back to the community?
“Through our Good Works volunteerism program, our employees can develop a tangible connection to our local community. The company offers matching contributions through volunteerism and/or donations to charitable organizations and agencies. The Good Works Campaign, which coincides with and includes the United Way Campaign, enables our employees to give to any nonprofit organization. We provide our employees with a diverse range of organizations and sponsored events supporting our local community, such as walks, runs and bike events; larger community events such as Wingapalooza, United Way Day of Caring; the Sertoma Chili cook off; and on-site blood drives.

In 2012, JPMorgan Chase and its foundation gave more than $190 million to thousands of nonprofit organizations across 42 states, the District of Columbia and 37 countries. More than 43,000 employees provided 468,000 hours of volunteer service in local communities around the globe. JPMorgan Chase works with community partners to create pathways to opportunity by supporting affordable housing, economic growth, workforce readiness and financial capability in the communities where we do business.”[[In-content Ad]]
