12-month Goals 1) Complete 60 houses for our partner families.
2) Expand our ReStore.
3) Grow our support services for our partner families.
4) Create a signature fundraising event.
Annual Events Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity operates a ReStore that accepts donations of construction materials, appliances, household furnishings and much more. Our ReStore is located at 315 S. Blackcat Road in Joplin, and it offers the unique opportunity to give, resell, and recycle. Businesses and individuals can contribute by donating items and shopping at our ReStore.
How People and Businesses Can Help The best way to help is to donate - time, talents, materials, land, and financial support are all needed. We are so blessed to have so many people and businesses come forward this past year to help us, and we want to keep our efforts going strong to continue helping families and rebuilding neighborhoods.
Volunteer Opportunities We are always in need of volunteers to help us build houses or help at our construction sites, work in our ReStore, or serve on a committee.
Check us out on our website at www.joplinhabitat.org, on Facebook, or call us at 417-782-6533.
Testimonial “Please, if you have not considered helping with the Habitat build, do it! You will not regret the time and fellowship you will have. So many wonderful people we worked with from all over the country! This was truly a humbling experience for me.”
–Nita Grandestaff, a volunteer from Hutchinson, Kansas.
“There’s nothing more gratifying than helping others. I’ve met wonderful people from all of the United States and Canada who have given up their free time and vacations to help out Joplin. It’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.”
