The purpose or purposes for which the corporation is organized are:  To receive and administer funds for scientific, educational, civic, athletic, patriotic, cultural, social, and charitable purposes.

Service Area
Joplin and surrounding communities in Jasper and Newton County   

Funding

The Foundation is funded through public donations and sponsorships.  The State of Missouri also provides a portion of the funding for the Joseph Newman Innovation Center.

12-month Goals
The Foundation has goals every year related to education and leadership programs. Since the May 22 tornado we have added long term business recovery to the list of Foundation goals.

Special Projects
The Joseph Newman Innovation Center (NIC) is a major project of the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation.  The NIC provides an environment for entrepreneurs to develop and grow new companies.

How People and Businesses Can Help
Members of the Chamber as well as the public can donate funds to the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation in person, by check or online at joplincc.com.  Members are also asked upon Membership renewal to consider making a donation to the Foundation to support the programs.

Volunteer Opportunities
Members of the Chamber of Commerce are welcome to serve on volunteer committees that organize the programs of the Foundation like Golden Apple, Together Reaching Every Kid (TREK) Leadership Joplin, Young Professionals Network and Tomorrows Leaders Today.
