Chicago-based Swift Prepared Foods is planning a roughly $200 million Italian meat plant in Columbia.
That plant would create 251 jobs and have an annual payroll of $13 million.
A $150 million, 275,000-square-foot plant is scheduled to open next year. A few years later, an additional $35 million, 50,000-squrae-foot building would be added.
