May 4
7:30-9 a.m. - Kickoff breakfast, presented by Rural Missouri Inc. and the local U.S. Small Business Administration branch office, at Dining by Design, 5021 S. National Ave. The cost is $10 per person in advance. To register, call the local SBA office at (417) 890-8501.

9 a.m.-Noon - Missouri State University's Small Business & Technology Development Center presents Understanding Financial Statements. The course will be held in MSU's Glass Hall. The workshop portion of this course will run 2-5 p.m., and the cost for each component is $109 per person. Preregistration is required.
