He was captain of both a No. 1-ranked football team at Republic High School and his conference champion baseball team, ranked in the top 10 percent of his class, and was voted best all-around player by his classmates.
Dipper worked his way through Missouri State University with a full-time job and a full class load. He graduated debt-free with an undergraduate degree in computer science.
As a full-time working professional, Dipper earned a graduate degree from Webster University in less than two years with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average.
During college, Dipper worked as the information technology network administrator for Watts Radiant, where he developed a software program that designed radiant heating systems for wholesalers and contractors. That software, along with another project Dipper redesigned, increased annual sales to $28 million from $7 million in six years.
Dipper has been with KPM Technology LLC since 2001, when he started as a systems engineer. After two years, he was offered a partnership - faster than any other person in KPM's history - and assisted in growing KPM Technology to nine from two employees and annual revenues to $1 million from $300,000.
"I have helped shape KPM Technology in such a manner that many families benefit from the success of the company, and many clients have been able to maintain and grow their business from the IT consulting business we do for them on a daily basis," says Dipper, now a member/owner with the firm.
He is just as busy outside of work.
Dipper has been a board member at Seminole Baptist Temple and leads a group of church volunteers at Disney Elementary who saved the school thousands of dollars by repainting the school's entire corridor structure themselves.
Dipper is a graduate of Leadership Springfield and a former member of Springfield Rotary North. Through KPM, he has worked with Boys and Girls Town, The Kitchen, Relay for Life, Friends of the Zoo and Ozarks Literacy Council.
Above all, however, Dipper values being part of his family with wife Julie and their two daughters, and he also appreciates his community.
"I was educated here; I began my career here; I own a business here; I raise my family here; and I will stay here," he says.
"I love the town, the people and the community as a whole."
