On the heels of 1 Million Cups’ second anniversary in Springfield and the announced move to the Springfield Art Museum, organizers have launched a regular blog on Medium.com.
The latest entry is an introduction to “The Refill Station,” the new blog’s title. The author explains the concept of the weekly startup presentations, and for presenters making a second run in front of Springfield’s entrepreneurial community, the blog is designed to provide updates.
“Whether the business is on track to be the next Fortune 500 company or struggling to keep the lights on, we want to know what events transpired after their presentation at 1 Million Cups Springfield,” the blog reads. “We want to know where the business is heading. We want to know what we, as a community, can do to help you.”
The first “refill” blog is scheduled to be posted April 6, following its first meeting at the city art museum’s auditorium. Since launch, 1 Million Cups has met at Missouri State University’s downtown business incubator, The eFactory.
The creators of Medium describe the site as “a place where conversation pushes ideas forward and words still matter.” In the interest of time, the site tells readers how many minutes it should take to read each blog.
