Morocco is putting a plan in place to make its mosques more energy efficient.
The government is installing energy-efficient lights and solar technology in more than 100 mosques in 2016. It plans to up that number during the next five years to include 15,000 state-funded mosques.
The energy-efficient mosques would represent nearly 30 percent of all mosques in the country.
