147 to be laid off after downtown STL Crowne Plaza closes

The Crowne Plaza hotel in downtown St. Louis will close May 11, resulting in nearly 150 employees losing their jobs.

The St. Louis Business Journal reports 147 workers will lose their jobs as the facility is turned into mostly apartments and a boutique hotel.

The hotel was sold in January to 200 STL Holdings LLC, which has a Florida registered agent.
