140-year-old KC country club under new ownership

Kansas City's Oakwood Country Club, a nearly 140-year-old institution, is under new ownership.

OCC Investors LLC, which includes longtime current and former club members, purchased the 210-acre club on May 1. The financial terms were undisclosed.

The new owners plan to invest $5 million to modernize the country club.
