$1.3B company outsources core banking to Jack Henry

Posted online
Bayonne, N.J.-based BCB Bancorp Inc. selected Jack Henry & Associates Inc. (Nasdaq: JKHY) to provide core banking automation services.

The company, which holds $1.3 billion in assets, was seeking an off-site platform manager after being affected by Hurricane Sandy in 2012, according to a news release.

"As we continue to grow and acquire new branches, it is important that our technology infrastructure is able to grow with us,” BCB Chief Operating Officer Alicyn Perry said in the release.

The bank selected the SilverLake platform offered by JHA OutLink Processing Services, Jack Henry Banking’s outsourcing subsidiary.

Officials said the platform would alleviate a problem with BCB’s current system, which requires its customers to have separate logins for online banking, remote deposit capture and e-statements. The Jack Henry software requires only one login.

Jack Henry Banking serves more than 1,300 banks, and the company as a whole counts nearly 11,300 clients, according to the release.

The Monett-based banking software and technology firm’s shares hit a 52-week high of $67.68 Monday, the fourth time its stock has done so in as many months, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

JKHY shares were trading at $67.09 as of 11:04 a.m. The company’s 52-week low is $51.86.
