134 Americans earned more than $50M each last year

The number of multimillionaires earning more than $50 million is on the rise in the U.S., according to statistics from the Social Security Administration.

The agency reported 134 Americans earned more than $50 million in cash compensation last year – a nearly 22 percent increase from 110 in 2013.

The statistic doesn’t account for capital gains, such as the sale of stocks.
