An $11 million street project intended to "bridge the gap" between north St. Louis and downtown is in the works.
The city is looking to upgrade a 1.6-mile corridor to make it more friendly for bicycles and pedestrians.
Funding comes from a $5 million federal grant and about $6 million in local matching funds, the St. Louis Business Journal reports.
