A $10 million one-to-one matching grant from the Walton Family Foundation is driving plans for a $28.5 million interactive family museum to be located near Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Ark.
The 44,500-square-foot museum, which is dubbed Amazeum, would be built on land donated by the Rob and Melani Walton Fund of the Walton Family Foundation, according to Arkansas Business.
Amazeum, which is expected to open in 2015, will feature interactive art and science exhibits, including a climbable canopy structure and a “tinkering studio” for young inventors.
