$100 stretches further in Missouri

Posted online
If you’re in the Show-Me State, $100 is actually worth $113.51, according to a new study by nonpartisan Washington, D.C.-based think tank the Tax Foundation.

The study was designed to determine the real value of $100 in each state by comparing the average prices of similar goods. Missouri tied for third with Alabama with consumers getting the most bang for their bucks, according to the Kansas City Star.

Mississippi topped the list at $115.74 and Arkansas landed at No. 2 at $114.16. Washington, D.C., bottomed out the comparative list at $84.60, followed by Hawaii at $85.32.
