Community is a value close to Christian Conner’s heart and business, having been born and raised in Springfield.

“I hold a deep sense of care for my community, where I live, raise my family and have grown up,” he says, adding he applies these values to his professional role. “As a fiduciary, I go beyond just bearing the title. I adhere to the true essence of the term within my industry.”

After working as a financial adviser for The Mutual Fund Store and Edelman Financial Engines, Conner became co-owner with his father Terry of Prime Capital Investment Advisors LLC in 2019. He now manages investment portfolios of 510 households with a combined annual billing of $2.5 million. Conner received his certified financial planner certification in 2021, a designation he says underscores his commitment to upholding a fiduciary standard and striving for excellence within the community.

“I am bound by a rigorous code of conduct and a profound duty of care toward my clients,” he says.

In the financial realm, Conner acknowledges that inflation and supply chain disruptions continue to loom over the industry, which he knows is a challenge to his clients.

“As trusted advisers, we remain committed to seeking innovative solutions that can effectively address these challenges,” he says.

With an interest in artificial intelligence and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Conner keeps an eye on emerging technologies and leverages them to deliver up-to-date information.

“Continually staying informed about these emerging technologies allows us to remain at the forefront of progress and deliver cutting-edge solutions to our valued clients,” he says.

Conner says one of the most fulfilling parts of his role is to give clients a resounding yes to their dreams, like being able to retire or pay for a child’s college education.

“My ultimate aspiration is to continue empowering individuals to discover their yes,” he says. “I strive to maintain this affirmative stance while expanding the scope of individuals I can assist.”

Conner and his team are setting goals to grow, allowing him to extend service to a larger population and to continue making an impact throughout the community.

“I am committed to actively participating in community outreach initiatives, engaging in charitable events and contributing to the prosperity of both the industry and individuals alike,” he says.

Through Prime Capital Investment Advisors, Conner connects his love of the Ozarks with financial planning in his monthly video series Bucks N’ Trucks, where he and co-host and colleague Collin Gimlin say they “go deep in the woods” to discuss financial planning and their love of hunting and the outdoors.

“We discuss a wide range of financial topics while embarking on truck rides, infusing a sense of fun into the learning experience,” Conner says.

Community commitment doesn’t stop once he leaves his office. Conner is also a co-founder of The Springfield Breakfast Club, where he works alongside business leaders to promote their businesses in the area, and he’s an active member of the Business Council of the Ozarks Inc. In addition, he and his wife are members of James River Church and supporters of the Pregnancy Care Center.
