Maries County Bank branch
413 N. Franklin St., Cuba
Slone Architects Inc. designed a 10,215-square-foot branch for The Maries County Bank. The $3.8 million project features two stories and a basement with drive-up canopies for a teller lane and ATM. The metal hip roof is accented by two colors of brick featured in the two-story columns flanking the entrance. Federal Construction Inc. is the general contractor, with engineering work by Cochran Engineering, civil; Bergman Engineering LLC, structural; and Latifi Engineering, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. The project is slated for completion in June 2021.
Plaza Shopping Center gained an arcade with the March 1 opening of The Flying Lap LLC; the repurposing of space operated by Burrell Behavioral Health resulted in the March 18 opening of the company’s second autism center; and a group of downtown business owners teamed up to reopen J.O.B. Public House.
