Leadership Style

Great leadership is about growing people. I like to embrace strong smart people and find something they don’t see in themselves so they can grow to their true potential. It is fun to watch people recognize that potential and learn what they can actually achieve. I never thought in a million years that I would be a business leader, but my own leader saw that potential in me even when I didn’t. He helped boost my confidence which allowed me to grow both personally and professionally.  It’s so important to focus on someone’s strengths and not their weaknesses. It is critical never to be threatened by someone who may be smarter than you. Hire people who want to succeed with you.
Tenacity to the max is one of my strengths. I refuse to give up. But I’m quiet about it. I learned that it’s important to know your stuff, be open to the unknown, and be willing to take risks. We must be our very best all the time. That doesn’t mean I don’t fail, I just don’t have the mindset that allows me to quit. I want to grow alongside my teams. Being prepared, knowing the facts, staying consistent, and showing passion and compassion in what we do every single day will get us where we need to be. Having a servant heart means people always come first.

Leadership Legacy

I am a big picture person and like to see things through the eyes of the people I serve. I have an open mind and a full heart, and I choose to invest in people. It is critical to know where team members are in life and what they dream about.  I want to do the right thing for them.  I look back and can’t believe how far I’ve come, but I know there’s no way I’d be here without those who coached me and those that grant me permission to coach them.
