Springfield interior design company Obelisk Home has changed ownership.

Co-founder Nathan Taylor became sole owner in July, according to a news release issued this morning. He founded the company in 2009 with business partner J. Kent Martin.

The financial terms of the ownership change were undisclosed in the release.

"I am thrilled and honored to take on the role of sole owner of Obelisk Home," Taylor said in the release. "Since its founding, Obelisk Home has been committed to delivering exceptional design solutions and unparalleled customer experiences. As the new owner, my goal is to build upon our legacy of excellence and take our services to even greater heights."

Obelisk Home, which operates a store and showroom in downtown Springfield at 214 W. Phelps St., is an interior design firm that offers furnishings, accessories and decor. The company’s website lists 10 employees with representative clients including The Preston and Township 28.

Taylor operates Obelisk Home through Nathan Taylor Design Group LLC.

"Under Nathan Taylor's sole ownership, the showroom is set to undergo exciting transformations to reflect the latest trends and showcase an exquisite array of furnishings, accessories and decor," officials said in the release.

Martin, who was not named in the release, is an artist known for his abstract paintings, according to his website.
