Oasis Hotel & Convention Center

Oasis Hotel & Convention Center recently joined the Ascend Collection through Choice Hotels. “Ascend is an upscale brand specializing in historic, boutique and unique hotels,” says general manager Missy Handyside. “They look for properties that have personality and a story to tell, not cookie cutter hotels.”

The guestrooms at Oasis were recently remodeled with a tropical feel, keeping with the resort inspired theme of the property. The newest project at the Oasis is the renovation of the outdoor pool area that will open May 2018. There will be vibrant furnishings, fire pits, and the area will not only be open to hotel guests, but also to members of the community having appetizers and cocktails poolside served by Fire & Ice, the hotel’s popular restaurant and the area’s only ice bar. We’d love for it to become a local hotspot,” says Handyside.

“One thing I love about our property is that we are ever-changing,” says Handyside. “We have been blessed with our owner, Robert Low, who also owns local transportation company Prime Inc. He continually invests in the property. Once we finish one project, we’re on to another.”
