Mattel is reportedly facing investor pressure to consider a sale.

American investment firm Ariel Investments said Mattel should look to sell to the right buyer.

“By our estimates, a strategic buyer would pay a significant premium to your current share price,” Ariel Chair and co-CEO John Rogers said in a letter sent to Mattel's board.
